Wrought Iron Ornamental Pieces

The wrought iron ornamental pieces look small. The size is 35 cm by 35 cm by 10 cm. But the scroll pattern on top is chiseled by a craftsman. He sits at a workbench and hammers each stroke. First he draws lines with chalk. He draws the outline of the scroll on the iron plate. Then he heats the plate. He follows the lines with a small flat hammer. He gently makes raised lines. Then he heats it again. He uses a round hammer to make the lines more three-dimensional. After the front is done, he does the back. He makes the lines bulge from the back as well. The whole process takes about 90 minutes. He can only make a few per day.

The material is wrought iron. The wire diameter is 5 mm. The finish is an antique bronze anti-rust coating. We do not use ordinary bronze paint. First we spray a red-brown primer. Then we spray the antique bronze top coat. Then we bake it in an oven. The final color has light and dark changes. It looks like real aged bronze. And it resists corrosion well. We can provide a color sample. You confirm before we mass produce the wrought iron ornamental pieces.

Our R&D team has an engineer who specializes in pattern design. He worked in a craft factory for 8 years. He draws by hand and uses CAD. This scroll pattern is based on Qing dynasty carved patterns. He simplified the lines to make them more modern. Then he made a 1:1 drawing. The workers follow the drawing to hammer. Our two national invention patents are not about patterns. But they show we have a technical team that does R&D. We do not copy other people's designs.
